Beach WA 881 extends south of Mindarie Keys Marina for 300m to a small bluff which separates it from the longer Burns Beach. The beach is fronted by near continuous 50-80m wide intertidal rocks and reef backed by dune-draped 20m high bluffs. It can be accessed from the southern Mindarie Keys car park and via various access tracks running through bushland from Long Beach Promenade. Claytons beach is dangerous to inexperienced swimmers due to the presence of submerged rocks and reef, higher wave activity, rips and strong currents.
