Beaumaris Beach is a strip of sand located below the 20 m high bluffs of Table Rock Point, and surrounded by wide, intertidal rock reefs and flats. The beach has good vehicle access off Beach Road, with the road leading to the Beaumaris Yacht Club and a large picnic area. It then swings around to the lifesaving club and its large car park and picnic area. The Beaumaris Life Saving Club was founded in 1956 and, apart from a few boat sheds, is the only structure behind the beach. The beach is 650 m long and faces the south. The eastern end is backed by the bluff and fronted by reef flats. Only the section immediately east of the club house is free of reef, as extensive reefs surround the beach in front of the car park. Depending on the tide, these reefs will be covered or bare. Rip holes usually occur next to the reefs.
Beach Length: 0.65km
General Hazard Rating: 4/10
