The 2 km of coast between Joyce and Lovers Bays is all a marine park, while the backing slopes are part of the national park. Norris Bay (MT18) is a 100 m long, north facing, open bay with the narrow high tide beach located at the base of steep, woody slopes. A 50 m strip of granite boulders separates it from Maud Bay, which contains a 150 m long, north-west facing beach (MT19) and fringing coral reef.
