At the southern end of Wangetti Beach, the Cook Highway again takes on the steep slopes of the Macalister Range. The ranges rise nearly 500 m within 1.5 km of the coast, and require the highway to hug the lower slopes and skirt the narrow beaches. Just east of Red Cliff Point is a 500 m patch of sand and numerous boulders and cobbles, that comprises a very accessible and visible beach (707), but not one suited for safe swimming. Two kilometres further east is a second beach (708) of a similar nature, only with a western pocket of sand. Both beaches receive waves averaging less than 0.5 m and have a steep, sand-cobble high tide beach fronted by rocky and sandy patches at low tide.
Beach Length: 0.5km
General Hazard Rating: 4/10
