Immediately south of the rocks are two smaller beaches, both bounded by rocky headlands and wide rock platforms. Both are backed by steep bluffs rising 20 m to cleared farmland. The first (NSW 601) is a curving 350 m long strip of sand, facing east-northeast, backed by 20-30 m high vegetated, cliffs and fronted by shallow reef. Waves break over the shallow reefs resulting in lower waves at the shore and usually a steep reflective beach, with rock replacing the bars. The second (NSW 602) is a curving 80 m long pocket beach wedged between two rocky points, with scattered reefs off the beach. While the reefs lower waves at the shore, the small embayment is drained by a strong permanent rip against the southern rocks.
