To the south of the Tilba headland the beach sweeps to the southwest for over 5 km to the entrance to Wallaga Lake in lee of Murunna Point, with some central rocks dividing it into two beaches. The northern Little Lake beach (NSW 618) trends southwest for 1.8 km past the usually blocked lake mouth to the 20 m high bluff on which sits Tilba Tilba trig station, with the beach narrowing but continuing below the bluffs. It is backed by two small valleys in the north and 10 ha Little Lake in the south, with the intervening slopes cleared for grazing.
