To the south of the rock pool, steep 30-40 m high cliffs continue 800 m south to Yallumgo Cove, a 180 m wide north-facing rocky bay. Beach NSW 681 is located at the southern base of the bay and curves for 150 m between the boundary rocks. This is a sheltered low energy coarse reflective beach, but is not popular for swimming owing to the industrial facilities behind the beach, including the Eden oil storage tanks and fish processing plants. The rocks to either side are relatively protected for rock fishing (Fig. 4.30).
